There is an attached file of stage conventions for the Eldorado Cowboys. These have been in effect for over 2 years and have been published at each Dam Site and Eldorado Shooters book. Please read the stage conventions. They are mostly common sense safety items. If there are any changes they will be posted on this board and in any shooters book published. To be more specific and address the specific questions that came up. First Item: At the table/prop/location shall mean within reach of the stated location. Behind the table/prop/location shall mean that the shooter will be completely behind the stated location. The stage wording was AT the table. Second Item: The shooter is expected to make each discarded long gun safe and pointed in a safe direction in order to complete the stage instructions. Advancing in front of the muzzle of a staged/restaged firearm will be a stage DQ. The shooter discarded his shotgun but the barrels were not between the rails on the table but pointed downrange. The shooter, when advancing downrange DID NOT advance in front of the barrels. Therefore the position of the shotgun was ruled a NO CALL.
