1 - Several months ago the Rules Committee approved the "Rooster Shooter" as an approved revolver for main match use.
Someone else submitted an additional set of grips that had deeper finger groves. Rather than try to have everyone carry around a depth gauge to measure finger groves in the grips, the "Rooster Shooter" grip have now been outlawed.
2 - Safety Glasses.......
A - All participants without safety glasses will be asked to leave the range until they can obtain proper safety glasses.
B - A shooter coming to the line without safety glasses will be allowed to obtain glasses prior to shooting provided all gun safety rules are observed.
C - A shooter who's glasses become dislodged during the stage will stop shooting or be stopped from shooting and be allowed to retrieve their glasses or may be helped by the timing operator providing it can be accomplished in a safe manner on the clock.
D - A shooter who cannot retrieve or chooses not to retrieve his glasses or has broken glasses.....
a - If it the shooters last gun of the stage he/she will be assigned misses for shots not fired.
b - If it is the shooter first or second gun of the stage he/she will be penalized with a Did Not Finish penalty of maximum stage score. (5 * number of rounds on stage + 30) (This is different than a Stage DQ)
c - If the shooter fires rounds without safety glasses in place the shooter will be awarded a Stage Disqualification for Unsafe Gun Handling.
I hope this is as clear as mud and that I have typed it in correctly...........

I will try to keep everyone updated on this new rule clarification.
